Designed for individuals who want to advance their career and help their organization grow and succeed.   This program based on an abridged MBA, provides a comprehensive, solid toolkit of critical business skills needed to succeed in the highy competitive business world.  Interaction between participants from different companies and industries enrich the learning experience by gaining additional business and management strategies. 

In a recent survey, over 95% of the certificate participants noted that the program improved their job performance.  Also, 90% of the participants stated that the program increase their confidence in their management ability.

Tuition is $3,150 and includes all training materials, lunches, refreshments, continental breakfasts, parking passes.  This program qualifies for most business' tuition reimbursement programs and the Iowa Jobs Training Programs 260E and 260F.

Four hours of graduate or undergraduate credit are available upon completion of this program for a $100 processing fee.

Leadership Certificate

This program is designed to transform good managers into great leaders.  The target audience for this program is the experienced manager who desires to move into a senior leadership position. You will be challenged to change from thinking like a manager to thinking like a strategic leader. Your views will be stretched by interacting with experienced managers from other organizations, and you’ll gain a better understanding of your strengths to improve your leadership performance.  This program is aimed at accelerating your leadership education by transforming the way you interpret, manage and solve problems. 

Proven Benefits:  Facts prove that more education pays off in higher earnings.  You will also be less likely to become unemployed as your competence and value increases.  According to the 2008 Bureau of Labor Statistics, full-time wage and salary workers earned an average of 21% more by attending additional college level classes, and were 11% less likely to be unemployed.

Negotiation & Resolving Conflicts through Leadership Certificate Program - Program begins early spring 2010

This program is designed for any person who needs to use negotiation and conflict management skills.  This includes mangers who have to manage conflict between employees, salary negotiations, performance appraisal discussions and discipline of direct reports. This program is also targeted towards human resource personnel who deal with union, employment and severance contracts, and Purchasing Agents or Buyers  who have to negotiation deals with outside vendors.

You will become more comfortable with handling disputes and resolving conflicts. Your will learn various ways to uncover the necessary information to make ethical and sound decisions. You will acquire negotiation skills that will help in every day work and home.
